Leopold Community & Learning Centre is where the community connects. We are a community-based organisation providing local residents with opportunities to learn, develop, and socialise. Regardless of age, gender, disability or cultural background, our centre has something for everyone. We offer programs, activities and facilities to engage the Leopold township and aim to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.
With the support of GMHBA we will be holding a series of workshops to help you “Get Your Granny On” and learn the skills of our grandparents. You can learn how to make jams, preserves, relishes, sauces, pickling, lemonades, ginger beer and cordials. You can also donate excess fruit and vegetable to be turned into preserves. The food and preserves will be donated to those in our local community that need it most. We are developing a register of backyard fruit trees in Leopold. The register will assist to organise volunteers to pick the fruit and those who register their trees will receive jams and preserves in return for their fruit.
Love meeting new people? Enjoy helping others? We are supported by volunteers and donations from the local community. Our community centre is a rewarding environment, with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and socialise. To find out more about volunteering with us, please contact the centre on 5250 1301.
