Community Garden Interest Survey

Exploring Participation in a Small Local Garden Initiative

A flourishing community is often rooted in the enthusiasm and involvement of its members. One such fruitful endeavour is the establishment of a community garden—a shared space where people come together to grow food, flowers, and friendships. In order to gauge interest and gather feedback, we are conducting a survey to determine who among the community would consider joining a small community garden. Your insights will help shape the future of this green initiative and ensure that it meets the needs and desires of those who may call it their own.

This survey is designed to identify individuals who might be interested in joining a small community garden. The feedback collected will help us:

  • Estimate the potential number of participants
  • Understand what resources or facilities are most desired
  • Gauge the level of commitment and involvement prospective members could offer
  • Collect ideas to make the garden accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable

Anyone with an interest in gardening, fresh produce, sustainable living, or community building is encouraged to respond as are those who have little experience but full of enthusiasm.

I am proposing raised garden beds with seating on the large balcony accessed through the community room at Leopold Community & Learning Centre (LC&LC) and the assignment of allotted hours during the week where it can be accessed.

Please note that this proposal will not be part of  LC&LC Garden Club but a separate entity and contingent on approval from City of Greater Geelong and successful grant applications.

You do not need to submit your name at the end of the survey if you do not want to, that part of the form is only for those who would like to be contacted regarding the progress of the Community Garden.

Paper forms are also avaliabe at the Centre.
